Threads takes a few seconds longer than other platforms, because the system has to open the post page to fetch the video link. A little patience gets you the result.

Are threads.com and threads.net different?
No. They're two addresses for the same network - Meta is gradually moving to threads.com. Either link works.
Why is Threads slower than Facebook or TikTok?
Because Threads hides the video link more thoroughly - the system has to open the post page before it can read the link. That takes a few extra seconds.
What about private accounts?
Can't be downloaded. That content only shows to approved followers.
Do I need a Threads account?
No. You just need a public post link, no sign-in anywhere.
Sometimes it says no video found - why?
The post may only contain photos and text, no video. Or the post was deleted. Try opening the link in a browser to check.

Threads.com or threads.net?
Both are correct. Threads originally used threads.net, then Meta gradually moved to threads.com. Both addresses currently work and point to the same place. Whatever format you paste, the tool accepts it - including short /share/ links from the Share button in the app.
Why is Threads slower than other platforms?
Threads hides its video links more than Facebook or Instagram. The video isn't sitting in the page - it only appears after the browser runs the page's scripts. To fetch it, the system has to open the post page like a real user before it can read the link. That takes a few extra seconds - it's the price of making Threads work, and we think waiting a few seconds beats not being able to download at all.
Private content
Like Instagram, Threads lets you set an account to private. Those posts only show to approved followers, so they're out of the tool's reach. We never ask for your password and never use a fake account to get around this.
When the feature has hiccups
Because Threads is still new and Meta changes the interface fairly often, the feature can occasionally stop working for a few days until it's updated. If you hit an error, try again later or check whether the post actually contains a video.
